Attention waterfowl hunters!
During waterfowl season, don’t forget that invasive species can easily hitch a ride on your gear.
• Clean all mud, plants, and debris from your decoys, waders, boats, and trailers.
• Drain water from boats, decoy bags, and any other gear that can hold water.
• Dry your gear thoroughly before the next use.
• Avoid using invasive species like phragmites in your blinds! This aggressive plant crowds out native species and damages the habitats waterfowl rely on.
By following these steps, you’re helping to protect Ontario’s wetlands and ensure our hunting heritage continues for future generations.
