In 2024, you’ve seen the OFAH undergo a rebranding with a fresh logo, new website, and enhanced digital experience for members. What you might not know is that other changes are being proposed as well.
And we want you to come along for the ride. The OFAH board of directors is proposing changes to our Articles of Incorporation and General Operating By-law, which in plain terms, represents a structural change that will split the OFAH you know today into two distinct organizations: OFAH Foundation and OFAH Membership.
Twice within the next week we will provide members with an opportunity to learn what it’s all about. On September 8th and 10th, we will be hosting virtual Town Halls to share the details. Following these meetings, members will have the opportunity to share their feedback directly with the OFAH ahead of an October Special Members meeting to vote on the proposed changes, which will held virtually on October 3, 2024, at 7pm.
For more information, visit www.ofah.org/about/bylaws and sign into your OFAH Membership Portal, where you can register for one of the Town Hall sessions and find additional details on what is being proposed.
The Town Hall sessions will feature a presentation from OFAH’s new Executive Director, Matt DeMille, on how these changes will positively impact the OFAH moving forward, with a member Q&A to follow.
Your engagement will help ensure the OFAH remains well positioned to build the best possible future for fishing, hunting, and conservation in Ontario.
Together, let’s shape the future of the OFAH.
