A new year brings new opportunities to invest in conservation initiatives throughout Ontario.
Last year we launched the OFAH Community Conservation Fund (CCF), which provided nearly $40,000 in funding to OFAH member clubs and community groups in support of four important conservation projects across the province.
“This funding program is big part of the OFAH’s commitment to fish and wildlife conservation and making hunting and fishing accessible for all Ontarians,” explains Chris Robinson, OFAH Manager of Programs.
The 2023 application window is now open and will run through April 2 with decisions on successful projects expected by early May 2023. The guidelines will be very similar to 2022 with an online application process, but we have made some changes to the eligible projects to better align with OFAH priorities for this year.
The following types of projects will be considered for funding through the application process:
• Fish and Wildlife Conservation
• Habitat
• General Conservation
• Making Fishing and Hunting Accessible, including Youth Engagement
