Wild Pig Surveillance Program
Zone F has teamed up with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Dr Keith Munro, OFAH Wildlife Biologist -Wild Pigs in Ontario and Brook Schryer, Invasive Species Awareness Program Specialist on the Wild Pig Surveillance Program
This program will supply volunteers with trail camera kits and bait(corn) to be placed in locations that are thought to have this invasive creature. They have been placed around Lanark county, Larose Forest, and the South Mountain area. It is hoped the data collected from the cameras will give the MNRF and the OFAH a better idea of where the pigs are located a good idea of what and how to deal with this very destructive animal.
