Tears of joy. That sums up the OFAH call to our latest Catch the Ace winner this morning. Hearing the news of a $19,614 cash win literally made Dan T., of North Bay, cry on the phone with OFAH staff this morning. The self-employed business owner couldn’t hide the raw emotion of receiving a burst of financial relief following a very stressful 2020 – something so many hard-working families within our proud outdoors community can relate.
“You can’t think ‘greed’ with these opportunities [OFAH Catch the Ace] because any amount you might win will help. But, if that’s not possible, you wish luck on others,” said Dan who flipped over another card in the dwindling OFAH deck of cards – card #17, a ten of diamonds. “The $309,000 would have been nice but I am ecstatic about $19,614.This is certainly a good start to 2021.”
Dan said that he, and his wife, Tricia, are passionate about the outdoors and have recently decided they are going to take up hunting and OFAH membership. Dan is a reminder that OFAH makes a difference for conservation as much as we do for the down-to-earth good people in Ontario that stand up for it. Dan is humble and sincere in wishing his luck now to everyone ready for week 23 of OFAH Catch the Ace. The Jackpot is estimated to reach over $335,000 by next Tuesday.
From all OFAH supporters, congratulations again to Dan and Tricia.
