Apply for OFAH Membership Community Projects Fund support
Thank you for considering OFAH Membership as your partner in fishing and hunting education, outreach and accessibility. To be considered for OFAH Membership Community Projects Fund support in 2025, please follow all directions and provide the necessary information requested in each section. Failure to do so will result in an unsuccessful application or delays in the granting process.
The deadline for applications is 11:59pm on March 16, 2025.

Use this application form for fixed amount grants for youth fishing derbies and youth fishing programs.
Should you require more funding than the standard allocations or have other expenses you wish to claim, please reach out to us to discuss your plan and consider applying through the standard OFAH Membership Community Projects Fund process. OFAH Membership may allocate less than the requested amount depending on the number of funding requests received and the specifics of each request.
Eligible Expenses:
- Port-o-potty rental
- Stocked fish and feed
- Food for youth on derby day
- Worms
- Supplies
- Equipment rentals (e.g., sound system, tables)
- Busing (programs only)
- Entrance fees (programs only)
- Fishing equipment (programs only)
Ineligible Expenses:
- Prizes, including trophies
- T-shirts and other clothing
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
Any fishing/hunting/conservation club in Ontario that is registered as a business, not-for-profit or charity can apply if they have a suitable project occurring in Ontario. Successful applicants will be expected to follow the OFAH Membership Granting Terms, which includes the requirement to submit a final report to OFAH Membership.
In 2025, funding is available for projects started and/or completed prior to the launch of this funding, provided the project meets all other criteria, provides the necessary documentation of the expenses, and occurred entirely in 2025.
Please note projects may only apply to one of the OFAH Membership Community Projects Fund (CPF) or the OFAH Foundation Community Conservation Fund (CCF). Additionally, funding for community hatcheries will occur through the Community Hatchery Program, not the OFAH Membership Community Project Fund.

OFAH MEMBERSHIP GRANTING TERMS
If successful in your application, you will be required to provide a final report no later than December 31st, 2025 for final fund disbursement. OFAH Membership reserves the right to share all materials submitted (with credit) and may at times seek follow-up information to address member or agency inquiries.
Your report must include the following:
- A summary of benefits achieved by the project, including the number of participants (if applicable);
- Photos (before and after if applicable) of your project/activity/event;
- A detailed description of how the OFAH Membership funds were allocated in 2025;
- All receipts for 2025 project expenditures covered by your OFAH Membership grant;
- A list of any in-kind contributions, including volunteer hours;
- A list of additional funding contributions;
- Recognition received by the OFAH Membership;
- Any additional promotion your project received (print, radio, television, social media, etc.), as the OFAH Membership would like to recognize and further help promote your club’s efforts; and,
- Multi-year grant recipients will be required to submit the above report and supporting documents each year over the course of the grant. Until the end of the grant, such recipients must also inform OFAH Membership each year of their intent to continue their activities for the next year of the grant. Should this intent change at any time, OFAH Membership must be informed immediately.
Notes:
Funds can only be used for expenses listed and approved in the original application. Funding cannot be used for travel expenses to conferences/seminars, legal actions, land acquisitions, or salaries, and any applications requesting such will not be considered.
Reporting and receipts must be submitted to ensure OFAH Membership can meet its own reporting guidelines as set out by Federal and Provincial governing bodies. Failure to submit a complete report will result in the denial of any future applications by your organization.

Required Information for Applications
Please prepare all necessary information before starting the application process.
- Club Details:
Club name, address, phone number, email address, president name and contact info, treasurer name and contact info. - OFAH Zone:
Indicate the OFAH Zone your club is in (if your club is an OFAH Membership Club). - Organization Status:
The organization’s charitable number, business number, and whether the club has charitable or not-for-profit status. - Previous Funding:
Whether your club has previously applied for and received funding from OFAH. If so, indicate the year(s) in which funding was received. - Project Details:
Project title, location, start and estimated end date, a summary (max. 50 words), detailed plan (max. 500 words), the status of required permits and licences and plan for recognizing OFAH Membership contributions (max. 50 words). - Project Budget:
We do not need to see a project budget in advance, but please ensure only eligible expenses are reported for reimbursement by OFAH Membership. Please provide the amount of funding requested and if you are applying for a multi-year grant as well as all other project funding partners and amounts (in-kind contributions, secured funds, and unconfirmed requested funds).
